Devils Daily: Devils Heading Outdoors, Golden Knights Take Game 1

Newark, NJ – Rumours were about the New Jersey Devils were going to take part in a major event in 2024. On Saturday before Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, we learned that the Devils are heading outdoors to take on the Philadelphia Flyers.



The Vegas Golden Knights take Game 1 against the Florida Panthers.

The NHL declares Colorado Avalanche forward Valeri Nichuskin eligible to play in 2023-24.

New Jersey Devils

New Jersey Hockey Now: The Devils are heading back outdoors for the first time in a decade. On Feb. 18th, 2024, the Devils will play host to the Flyers at MetLife Stadium in the first of two Stadium Series games. The NHL has recognized the up-and-coming talent in New Jersey and has declared the event a good showcase moment for the Devils.

Stanley Cup Final

Vegas Hocley Now: Both the Panthers and Golden Knights were for a week or more. The Golden Knights took Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final at T-Mobile Arena defeating the Panthers 5-2. There was no rust. Both teams were ready for battle from the opening puck drop.

Florida Hockey Now: From the Panthers’ perspective — Game 1 headed into the third period knotted at two. Despite the tie, a number of mistakes from Florida cost them the game.

National Hockey Now

Boston Bruins

Boston Hockey Now: Dmitry Orlov has never been a free agent. After speaking with Russian media, he’s excited about the opportunity to explore his options on July 1st. The Bruins want to keep the defenseman, however, salary cap restrictions could percent that from happening.

Colorado Avalanche

Colorado Hockey Now: According to NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly and Commissioner Gary Bettman, they have all the details they need regarding Valeri Nichuskin’s incident in April. He’s been determined eligible to return to the Avalanche and can play in 2023-24.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: The Penguins are expected to name a full-time General Manager sometime next month. However, that hire might be in title only as President of Hockey Operations Kyle Dubas will be involved in GM-level decisions for the Penguins.

Detroit Red Wings

Detroit Hockey Now: The Winnipeg Sun drew up a mock trade proposal that would likely leave Red Wings fans reeling. Connor Hellebuyck to the Detroit, a haul to the Winnipeg Jets. Would either side even remotely consider the idea?\
