Devils Daily: The One Where the 2023 Hockey Hall-of-Fame Class was Revealed

Newark, NJ – The 2023 Hockey Hall-of-Fame class was revealed on Wednesday. Those who are to become part of hockey immortality this year include Henrik Lundqvist, Tom Barrasso, Caroline Ouellette, Pierre Turgeon, Mike Vernon, Pierre Lacroix (builder), and Ken Hitchcock (builder). Absent from that list is a pair of players that wore red and black for the New Jersey Devils.

New Jersey Devils

New Jersey Hockey Now: Both Patrik Elias and Alexander Mogilny were eligible for nomination for the Hockey Hall-of-Fame class of 2023. However, they were both left off the Hall-of-Fame ballot.

EPRinkside: Devils GM Tom Fitzgerald is having a heckuva summer so far. In the days ahead, their outlook looks even better.

New Jersey Hockey Now learned on Wednesday the Devils’ 2023-24 preseason schedule. The schedule is as follows:

National Hockey Now

Pittsburgh Penguins

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Former Penguins GM Ron Hextall was working on a trade that would have brought in J.T. Miller from the Vancouver Canucks at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. Should Kyle Dubas revisit a possible Miller deal?

Boston Bruins

Boston Hockey Now: There are many questions surrounding the future of the Bruins. Question marks include the futures of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci. Further, reports suggest the Bruins are trying to retain Tyler Bertuzzi and Garnet Hathaway.

Florida Panthers

Florida Hockey Now: The Florida Panthers and Ottawa Senators will visit Nova Scotia for a preseason Hockeyville game.

San Jose Sharks

San Jose Hockey Now: Now that Timo Meier is out of San Jose, the Sharks will need someone to replace him. There is a decent amount of talent in the pipeline. Which of the up-and-comers can fill the void?

Washington Capitals

Washington Hockey Now: Despite missing quite some time due to injury, Connor Brown is drawing interest on the trade market. Of the many teams interested, the Edmonton Oilers are in the mix.

Nashville Predators

Nashville Hockey Now: Jusse Saro’s name has popped up on the trade rumor mill. However, is there reason to believe he’s actually available? Or, is that idea misleading?
