Timo Meier memorable moments in 2022-23, Karlsson to Toronto/Seattle?
The New Jersey Devils are looking forward to Timo Meier’s first full season in New Jersey. Now that he’s had some time to process the trade, settle into his new hometown, and really got to know his new team and organization, the sky is the limit for the 40-goal power forward. It’s certainly Timo Time. Erik Karlsson has been consistent in his desires. He wants to play for a winning team. Unfortunately for San Jose, they’re not in a winning state and Karlsson is not okay with remaining in the organization. Carolina and Pittsburgh have been spoken about as the suitors to land the Norris Trophy winner, however, Karlsson reveals there are two other suitors he’s spoken with as well. Plus, much more to dive into around the National.

NHL.com: We’re all looking forward to what Timo Meier is going to do with the Devils in his first full season. However, whether it was with San Jose or New Jersey, Meier had some great moments in 2022-23 as well.

Pittsburgh Penguins
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Erik Karlsson has been very forward about his desire to play for a winning team. San Jose Sharks GM Mike Grier has been talking with teams including the Penguins about a potential trade. One thing’s for sure, however. Karlsson is not okay with remaining in San Jose.
 Colorado Avalanche
Colorado Hockey Now: The Avalanche drafted Nikolai Kovalenko in the sixth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Kovalenko had a breakout season in the 2022-23 KHL season. According to reports, the Russian/American forward is crossing the pond to sign with Colorado in 2023-24.
San Jose Sharks
San Jose Hockey Now: All the trade talk around Karlsson has been with the Penguins and Carolina Hurricanes. However, Karlsson reveals he’s also spoken with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Seattle Kraken as possible landing spots as well.
Nashville Predators
Nashville Hockey Now: The Tony DeAngelo saga has been an interesting one to follow this summer. He was all but traded to the Hurricanes and then suddenly bought out by the Philadelphia Flyers. Now, there are rumors he’s potentially in the mix to join the Predators if Nashville doesn’t win the consolation prize of Brett Pesce in a Karlsson trade.
