The New Jersey Devils cut five players on Tuesday in their third roster trim. The roster now holds 35 players including 19 forwards, 10 defensemen, and 6 goalies. According to New Jersey, the following players have been reassigned/cut:

Forwards

Graeme Clarke, Kyle Criscuolo (cleared waivers today), Chase Stillman

Defensemen

Daniil Misyul

Goaltenders

Erik Kallgren (on waivers today)

The Devils took to the ice today in two separate squads  The “veteran squad” skated on the Prudential Center game ice while the remaining group skated in the practice rink at RWJBarnabas Arena.

Alexander Holtz and Simon Nemec skated with the varsity squad this afternoon. Other bubble roster players such as Tyce Thompson and Nolan Foote skated with what appears to be the minor league squad.

The Devils have two preseason games remaining on Wednesday and Friday to determine what their 2023-24 NHL roster is going to look like.

Heading to Utica, Stillman and Misyul will take part in their first AHL seasons in 2023-24. Clarke was the Comets’ leading scorer in the 2022-23 season. He’ll continue his development in Utica for a chance at an NHL call-up later in the season.
