Devils Daily: An Angry GM & More Trade Chatter

Yesterday was a quiet day. The New Jersey Devils held an optional skate in Seattle ahead of their tilt with the Kraken tonight. The following skaters were on the ice yesterday for practice:
Jesper Bratt, Nathan Bastian, Luke Hughes, Kevin Bahl, Alexander Holtz, Simon Nemec, Dawson Mercer, Chris Tierney, Brendan Smith, Colin Miller, Michael McLeod, Vitek Vanecek, & Akira Schmid.
Of note in that group is Smith. He fulfilled his two-game suspension as of Tuesday and is available to be placed back in the lineup tonight. We’ll see what head coach Lindy Ruff does with the hybrid veteran.
Elsewhere, Nashville’s GM is quite unhappy, a bidding war in Calgary, a long-awaited debut in Detroit, & more.
Let’s do that hockey.
