Devils Daily: A New Wrinkle in the Devils Goaltending

The New Jersey Devils didn’t skate yesterday as they traveled to Calgary ahead of their contest with the Flames. They did, however, activate Nico Daws and sent him to the AHL Utica Comets. The Comets had a tilt against the Bridgeport Islanders last night and Daws received the nod. In his first game back since hip surgery, Daws made 31 saves and received first-star honors in Utica’s 4-1 victory. What an interesting wrinkle in the Devils’ goaltending situation.
