Devils Gameday
Devils Game Preview vs. Senators: Betting Odds, How to Watch, Projected Lines, & More
The Devils face the Senators on the first leg of a back-to-back.

The New Jersey Devils and Ottawa Senators face off for the first time in the 2023-24 season tonight.
Yesterday, head coach Lindy Ruff ran an emotional, tough practice, emphasizing attacking the net far more often than New Jersey has been. We’ll see if that translates into tonight’s contest.
Tonight’s goaltender is undetermined, however, we do know it won’t be Akira Schmid. We’ll end up seeing both goaltenders this weekend as the Devils play the Boston Bruins tomorrow. That means we should see Nico Daws’ season debut within the next two days.
Let’s dive into the Devils’ tilt with the Senators tonight.

Picking up an overturned puck by the Jackets, Timo Meier sprung for a breakaway and beat Columbus goaltender Elvis Merzlikins to secure the 4-3 victory for New Jersey. Vitek Vanecek stopped 26 pucks on 29 shots while securing the win.
Player to Watch
With five points in his last five games, Dawson Mercer is tonight’s player to watch.
