Devils Daily: Looking Forward to the Stadium Series

New Jersey Devils

Everything about yesterday’s Winter Classic was great. The Seattle Kraken sweaters are perfect. The Vegas Golden Knights’ uniforms grew on me. The atmosphere was electric. And although Vegas couldn’t find the back of the net, seeing the first shutout in Winter Classic history was pretty cool. It makes you that much more excited to get outdoors next month when the New Jersey Devils face the Philadelphia Flyers at Metlife Stadium. Especially with playoff implications on the line.

Involved in the Stadium Series next month with the Devils will be Luke Hughes. The Devils rookie defenseman had a big week last week. Elsewhere, some Devils goals for 2024, Nathan Mackinnon’s historic 2023, and a reunion with Phil Kessel in Boston?

Let’s do that hockey.

New Jersey Devils

New Jersey Hockey Now: Devils rookie Luke Hughes is having an excellent rookie season. The NHL named him the third star of the week of Dec. 25th – Dec. 31st.

NJ.com: The Devils certainly aren’t coming into 2024 without their faults. Here are three New Year’s resolutions for the Devils this year.

Vegas Golden Knights

Vegas Hockey Now: The Golden Knights were shut out by Joey Daccord and the Seattle Kraken in the 2024 NHL Winter Classic. Daccord’s shutout was the first in NHL history.

Boston Bruins

Boston Hockey Now: Does a reunion with future hall of famer Phil Kessel make sense as an inexpensive depth signing for the Bruins right now?

Colorado Avalanche

Colorado Hockey Now: En route to a dominant year (January to January), Avalanche star Nathan Mackinnon closes out 2023 with a historic December.

Philadelphia Flyers

Philly Hockey Now: The Philadelphia Flyers are still in a playoff spot and 11th place in the NHL. However, it would be remiss of us not to consider some of the quiet concerns around the team.

New York Islanders

NYI Hockey Now: Monday’s Winter Classic between the Seattle Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights was a resounding success. The Islanders’ owners are hoping to bring the event to Long Island.
