The New Jersey Devils host the Chicago Blackhawks in Connor Bedard’s first visit to the Prudential Center tonight.
Bedard became the youngest player in NHL history to be named an NHL All-Star on Thursday. Joining him at the All-Star game will be Devils forward Jack Hughes who has now been nominated for three consecutive seasons.
It’s the second meeting between the Devils and ‘Hawks. New Jersey defeated Chicago 4-2 at the United Center on Nov. 5th, 2023.

Last Game
The Devils invaded the nation’s capital on Wednesday to face Washington on the road. Captain Nico Hischier scored two quick goals to ensure the Devils played with a lead for the second straight game. Dawson Mercer and Michael McLeod each netted a pair of goals of their own en route to a 6-3 victory over the Capitals. Washington received goals from Connor McMichael, John Carlson, and Evgeny Kuznetsov. Daws made 23 saves to secure his second win in as many starts this season.
Player to Watch
Luke Hughes enters Friday’s contest vs Chicago riding a four-game point streak to four games (3g-3a). The point streak tied the 20-year-old’s career-high which he earned via Oct. 25th, 2023, to Nov. 2 (0g-6a). The Devils rookie defenseman can slide into a six-way tie for third overall in franchise history with a single point.
