The New Jersey Devils need to figure out their goaltending situation. There’s likely no internal fix for this season. General manager Tom Fitzgerald might have to get creative.

A lot is happening in the rumor mill. The Cutter Gauthier situation is over. However, a report suggests that Colorado was potentially in pursuit of the high-profile prospect and the ask was one of the Avs’ promising defensemen. Plus, former first-round selection, Sean Monahan has become a hot commodity.

Elsewhere, a key injury in Pittsburgh and Calgary’s decision to rebuild or not looms.
