Devils Daily: Time to Act; DeBrusk to Move Ahead of NHL Trade Deadline?

New Jersey Devils

The New Jersey Devils are set to hit the ice in San Jose this morning at 11:30 A.M., 2:30 PM local time.

A couple of Monday night wins by the Washington Capitals and New York Islanders weren’t helpful to the Devils’ chase for the wildcard. They face Mackenzie Blackwood for the first time as a member of the Sharks. Calling any game a “must-win” seems arbitrary, however, given the state of San Jose, the Devils must win tonight’s tilt.

In the links, general manager Tom Fitzgerald is going to have to make himself present sometime soon. Also, yesterday the Devils reassigned a forward who could be key down the stretch.

Elsewhere, plenty of NHL trade talks. Could Boston move Jake DeBrusk? Should Florida reunite with Anthony Duclair? Plus, San Jose isn’t actively shopping one of their top defensemen.

Let’s do that hockey.
