The New Jersey Devils stumbled their way out of California.

In fact, that might be putting it a little lightly. Jack Hughes and Co. collected just two of a possible six points on the trip and have sunk themselves into a deeper hole in their pursuit of the playoffs. The losses in Anaheim and Los Angeles were heartbreakers. Each was winnable in their own respect, and the Devils failed to pull through.

Despite coming home this week, the schedule gets a little tougher starting with the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. Depending on how this week goes, this could be the make-or-break portion of the schedule. Especially with the NHL Trade Deadline on Friday.

In the links, read up on what went wrong against the Kings.

Elsewhere, is Boston in a position to move Linus Ullmark? Are they considering it? Nashville is likely to extend a rumored available forward, and a pair of veteran Buffalo Sabres are being discussed by teams as trade targets.

Let’s do that hockey.
