It’s one of the rarest things in hockey, but the New Jersey Devils could turn the heat up in the dead of summer. Seemingly, the only thing left unchecked on GM Tom Fitzgerald’s to-do list this summer was reeling in a top-six forward.

He could make that happen with a tricky, yet enticing offer sheet.

On Monday evening, the Devils agreed to a one-year deal with a “once blossoming” prospect.

In the Metropolitan Division, the Devils’ division rival, the Carolina Hurricanes, are seemingly taking another loss as a key forward may terminate his contract.

Elsewhere, Ilya Nabokov’s North American timeline potentially hinted, former Bolts captain pens the Tampa Bay fans, and Philly forward grateful to extend with Flyers.

Let’s do that hockey.
