New Jersey Devils

The plethora of New Jersey Devils hockey operations on Thursday wouldn’t have been surprising had Chuck Fletcher’s name not been in the mix.

However, the former Philadelphia Flyers’ general manager is back in the NHL, and he’s serving as an advisor to Tom Fitzgerald. It’s certainly an interesting hire as he wasn’t exactly known for his esteemed track record. However, he left some decent parts for the Flyers to work with upon his departure.

Don’t worry, he’s not making any major decisions. That’s still on Fitzgerald. Everyone deserves a second chance, right?

Elsewhere, which cap strapped teams can the Habs take advantage of with their cap space? More Brock Faber contract comparables, and the reason Jeff Marek and Sportsnet divorced.

Let’s do that hockey.
