Devils Daily: More KHL Exports; Devils Prospect Earns Pro Deal
The New Jersey Devils’ prospect pool isn’t what it once was due to Luke Hughes and Simon Nemec receiving promotions and a few transactions that have sent former Devils youth elsewhere. There’s been a bit of replenishment with Anton Silayev now in the fold, Seamus Casey’s rise, and Lenni Hameenaho looking better and better. Plus, we can’t forget about Arseni Gritsyuk who also continues his upward trajectory.
However, Mikael Diotte took a different path to the NHL as an undrafted defenseman. Following some impressive years in the QMJHL, the Devils took a chance on him and inked him to an entry-level contract. More on how he earned his pro deal in the links below.
Elsewhere, more KHL exports, an unexpected hero in Florida, and the former San Jose GM concedes he regrets letting Joe Pavelski go.
Let’s do that hockey.
