Devils Daily: Matt Rempe Fighting for Rangers Roster; Milan Lucic News

The rivalry between the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers reached new heights last season. That had nearly everything to do with the presence of Matt Rempe who played the role of enforcer for the Blueshirts. Now, despite an outpouring of love from Ranger fans, Rempe feels like he still needs to earn his way on the varsity roster.



Elsewhere, Milan Lucic is seeking a return to the NHL, Patrik Laine can negotiate with other teams, and PTO news in Washington.

NHL.com: New York Rangers forward Matt Rempe admits he’s getting a lot of attention still, however, he feels like he needs to prove himself to make the 2024-25 roster.

Sportsnet: In a recent interview, Columbus Blue Jackets general manager Don Waddell said Patrik Laine has permission to speak with other clubs.
