The rivalry between the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers reached new heights last season. That had nearly everything to do with the presence of Matt Rempe who played the role of enforcer for the Blueshirts. Now, despite an outpouring of love from Ranger fans, Rempe feels like he still needs to earn his way on the varsity roster.

Elsewhere, Milan Lucic is seeking a return to the NHL, Patrik Laine can negotiate with other teams, and PTO news in Washington.

Boston Hockey Now: Milan Lucic, who has played 17 seasons in the National Hockey League, is aiming to return to the sport of hockey after he was arrested for assault and battery on a family and household member last November.
