Devils Daily: Patrik Laine Trade; Yaroslav Askarov Trade Request; Oilers Decision Day

Yesterday was a pretty good news day. The big news was the Patrik Laine trade that seemingly came to fruition out of nowhere. But, earlier in the day, we learned that one of the top prospect goaltenders has requested a trade. The New Jersey Devils have their goaltending squared away, but is there a scenario where they trade for another?
Elsewhere, there are a handful of other teams who would certainly be good fits for Yaroslav Askarov, Cody Ceci is excited to work with San Jose’s youth, and Chicago’s Winter Classic jersey’s might be one of the best jersey’s ever.
The Edmonton Oilers have a big decision to make today. Late last night, Frank Seravalli dropped a speculative bomb.
Hockey world waits for #Oilers to render decisions Tuesday on #stlblues offer sheets to Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway.
Recent trades mean everything is still on the table cap-wise, but I wouldn't be surprised if both Broberg and Holloway become Blues tomorrow.
We'll see.

Philly Hockey Now: And whereas a trade to Montreal makes complete sense, it makes an equal amount of sense for the Philadelphia Flyers to acquire Yaroslav Askarov as well.
San Jose Hockey Now: Cody Ceci is the only player who has played with Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, and Auston Matthews. Now, he’s excited to share his wisdom with Macklin Celebrini & Will Smith.
