Even before he got to free agency and the New Jersey Devils tried to reel him in, Jonathan Marchessault did what he could to remain with the Vegas Golden Knights. By no means is that new information. The original misfit was quite vocal about wanting to remain in Sin City. However, Marchesaault revealed the details of said negotiations that ultimately saw him head to free agency.

In the links, when the Devils didn’t land Marchessault, Steven Stamkos or any top-six replacement for Tyler Toffoli this summer, it left question as to who will fill the void. Plus, four additional questions the Devils need to address next season.

Elsewhere, Nicholas Robertson settles, yet is still likely on his way out, Tyson Barrie inks professional try out, and Lucas Raymond negotiations “seem optimistic.”

Let’s do that hockey.
