Devils Gameday
Devils at Canadiens: Projected Lines; Notes; How to Watch & More

The New Jersey Devils (0-1-0) will visit the Bell Centre to face the Montreal Canadiens (1-0-0) tonight at 7:00 P.M. EST.
Last time out, the Devils dressed an NHL-heavy lineup against the New York Islanders, however, fell short of victory as a result of a slow third period.
Conversely, the Canadiens handled the Philadelphia Flyers, shutting out Philly 5-0.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe is expected to dress a different game group in the second of eight preseason matchups. Said lineup still won’t feature players such as Jack Hughes, Timo Meier, Dawson Mercer, and Simon Nemec. All the aforementioned received extra rest on Sunday and sat out against the Islanders and appear to be getting some more vs. the Canadiens.
Perhaps the full NHL lineup will dress at home on Wednesday.
Here’s tonight’s projected lineup:

Following their Thursday night tilt in Montreal, the Devils get right back on the ice for Wednesday at home. The Washington Capitals (0-1-0) visit the Prudential Center for a Metropolitan Division matchup.
The Devils leave for Prague on Sept. 29th. Therefore, it’s expected that before they leave, Sheldon Keefe will ice his anticipated regular season lineup ahead of their season opener against the Buffalo Sabres in Czechia. That could be on Wednesday, when the Devils host the Caps on home ice.
