The New Jersey Devils (2-1-0) travel to the Nation’s Capitol to face Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals in their season and home opener for 2024-25.

Last time out, the Devils fell to the Toronto Maple Leafs in Sheldon Keefe’s first attempt at a revenge game. Jesper Bratt and Timo Meier each scored, however, Max Pacioretty and the Maple Leafs solved goaltender Jacob Markstrom four times.

In his NHL debut, Dennis Hildeby secured his first career victory.
