According to Utah HC’s PR, “Utah Hockey Club posted a 6-5 overtime win against the New York Rangers to join the 2017-18 Vegas Golden Knights as the second franchise in NHL history to win each of its first three games. Clayton Keller registered the first three-point performance in franchise history (2g, 1a), scoring his seventh career overtime goal to seal the victory. Barrett Hayton (1g, 1a) and Nick Schmaltz (2a) each added two points, as Hayton lit the lamp for the third straight game to match the longest goal streak of his NHL career.
“Logan Cooley (1a) and Dylan Guenther (1g) also found the scoresheet for the third consecutive contest, as Guenther became just the third player this century to score five or more goals in his team’s first three games of a season at age 21 or younger. Jack McBain (1g), Kevin Stenlund (1g) and Vladislav Kolyachonok (1a) all earned their first points with Utah, while Alex Kerfoot and Matias Maccelli both tallied an assist for then second straight game. Connor Ingram made his third consecutive start in net, stopping a season-high 29 of New York’s 34 shots.”
