After a disappointing loss Friday night, the New Jersey Devils traveled to Edmonton to prepare for their matchup against the Connor McDavid-less Edmonton Oilers. In the meantime, there has been some clarity on forward Nathan Bastian’s injury.



Spoiler alert: expect an AHL call-up in the next few days.

Meanwhile, the Devils Metro Division rival Philadelphia Flyers suffered an injury blow themselves to their starting goaltender, the Florida Panthers are feeling no Stanley Cup hangover, and a Winnipeg Jets forward becomes an all-time leading scorer.

New Jersey Hockey Now: Sheldon Keefe announced today that forward Nate Bastian has gone back to New Jersey due to a jaw injury he suffered in their game against the Calgary Flames. Bastian will likely be out for “several weeks”.
