NJHN Daily: Devils Luke Hughes’ International Future; Rangers Make Big Changes

Sudden big changes went down on Friday when the New Jersey Devils’ rival, the New York Rangers, decided the Jacob Trouba era was over. And right after they pulled off the anticipated transaction, they committed to Igor Shesterkin in record-setting fashion. Yesterday was certainly a crazy day on Broadway, and all the details are below.

NY Post: When word spread that New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba would be scratched in last night’s game, many felt it was only a matter of time before he was dealt. Well, the Rangers traded their captain to the Anaheim Ducks, spelling the end of the Trouba era on Broadway.
The Athletic ($): After the Trouba situation finally sorted itself out, it wasn’t long before the Rangers and goaltender Igor Shesterkin agreed to a record-setting extension.
