Head coach Sheldon Keefe will get a second crack at a first win against his former club when the New Jersey Devils (18-10-2) host the Toronto Maple Leafs (14-9-2) on Tuesday evening.



The Devils are coming off a lifeless loss at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche. As a result, Keefe made some tweaks to the middle of New Jersey’s lineup in search for more offense.

What to Know vs. Maple Leafs

-The Devils and Toronto meet for the second of three matchups in 2024-25.

-The Devils suffered a 4-2 loss against Toronto in the first meeting, after the Jersey’s team suffered a 3-0 deficit in the first period.

-Jesper Bratt and Timo Meier netted the team’s two goals.

-Johnathan Kovacevic and Brenden Dillon collected assists in the first matchup.

-Jacob Markstrom started in goal for New Jersey and logged 18 saves on 22 shots.
