The New Jersey Devils (21-11-3) host the suddenly competent Pittsburgh Penguins (15-14-5) as they begin a two-game homestand before the holiday break.
The Penguins didn’t start the season so well, however, have certainly been better lately. The Sidney Crosby-led Pens are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and have won two in a row coming into Newark.
The Devils hope to strengthen their home efforts against the veteran club.
