If you’re a fan of the New Jersey Devils, you’re certainly enjoying this New York Rangers downfall. We’ll have more on that in the links, but boy does it sure feel like they’re in the headlines every single day.

First it was the drama with their captain, then one of their young—failed—youngsters, and now a heft suspension to one of the most polarizing players in the game today.

The kicker?

Kaapo Kakko scored his first goal with the Seattle Kraken last night.

The timing of all this is uncanny.

For the Devils, spoke to a few of them after their tilt with the Pittsburgh Penguins about standing their ground against Michael Bunting and Co.

Let’s do that hockey.

NY Post: Following yet another illegal check by Rangers’ enforcer Matt Rempe, the department of player safety dropped one of the more significant suspensions we’ve seen in a long, long time.

The Athletic ($): Speaking of the Rangers, after the loss of Rempe to suspension, they suffered another loss on the scoreboard. Despite starting well, the Rangers fell to the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday. In the locker room, even they’re explaining they don’t recognize themselves.

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: The Devils overcame the obstacles that were laid out in front of them on Saturday, but the Pittsburgh Penguins proved they could do some damage after they flirted with disaster at the beginning of the season.

Detroit Hockey Now: The Detroit Red Wings’ home-and-home series against the Montreal Canadians began with optimism and ended with discouragement about where this team is at. In fact, the losses suggest a bigger issue.
