It’s NHL trade rumor season. The holiday break has come and gone, and the March 7th NHL trade deadline will be here fore you know it. Many are even speculating teams will get an early start on the trade front this season too, looking at the two-week time period where NHL games will pause for the 4 Nations Face-Off. Leading up to the international tournament, we could see a flurry of trades. Expect the New Jersey Devils to at least be in the mix.

Speaking of, a number of Devils trade related stories below. A little glimpse… Taylor Hall reunion? Trade Seamus Casey? Oh yeah, it’s that time of year.

Elsewhere, poor Erik Karlsson. He’s back in the NHL trade rumor mill. Outdoor games in Florida? Make it two. And, Matt Rempe talks being humbled.

Let’s do that hockey.

Devils News

New Jersey Hockey Now: After learning the cost acquisition for Taylor Hall, a Devils trade makes too much sense to reunite with the former MVP.

More NJHN: New Jersey has an embarrassment of riches on the blueline, including those in their pipeline. They should consider a Devils trade, swapping the top prospect blueliner for a top prospect center for long-term balance.

Even More: According to reports, end dates for KHL contracts have changed, therefore the Devils might have to wait a bit longer for Arseni Gritsyuk.

TheAHL.com: Seamus Casey, AHL All-Star.

NHL Trade Talk, News, & National Hockey Now

Sportsnet: Rangers forward Matt Rempe explained he knows he’s a “marked man” after another ejection/suspension, and wants to play “smarter” hockey.

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Erik Karlsson has been through NHL trade rumor season before. He understands he’s going through it again, personally.

Florida Hockey Now: To celebrate the success of the two biggest sunbelt success stories, the NHL will have both the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning play host to outdoor games in two very different venues, against the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins respectively.

Detroit Hockey Now: Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond are undoubtedly two-thirds of the Detroit Red Wings top line. However, they’re still trying to figure out a third.
