The Philadelphia Flyers are getting an upgrade. A big, big upgrade. Wells Fargo Center will be no more when the Flyers move into their new arena in 2031 that will also house the Philadelphia 76ers. The New Jersey Devils owners are helping fund the future “world-class” building as owners of the NBA franchise. In all honesty, they should consider a renovation at the Prudential Center as well.

Sidebar for my wrestling fans out there. Pat McAfee threw a dig at the San Jose Sharks last night amid his color commentary on Monday Night Raw, which was hosted at the SAP Center:

Elsewhere, Pittsburgh needs to make a change in their crease, Detroit’s head coach unhappy amid momentum, and the Toronto Maple Leafs make their NHL trade needs clear.

Let’s do that hockey.

Boston Hockey Now: The Boston Bruins‘ five-game losing streak is finally over, but the damage is already done. They’ve sunk themselves in the standings, can they recover?

Colorado Hockey Now: Last week, a couple of NHL insiders reported that Gabriel Landeskog was unable to skate on consecutive days because of knee swelling. So, what did the Colorado Avalanche’s head coach have to say?

Detroit Hockey Now: Detroit Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan was unhappy that he had no choice but to give his team a day off on Monday.
