Just a few months ago, the New Jersey Devils were in a predicament where they continuously rolled out Jacob Markstrom game after game in the absence of Jake Allen.
They might be in that same position, only this time with Markstrom sidelined, and they may need to lean on Allen, which isn’t ideal.
