As the 4 Nations Face-Off draws nearer, the NHL trade activity is picking up. First, Mikko Rantanen flew off the board in the blockbuster last week. Then, Philly and Calgary connect on a big deal last night. It’s just a matter of time before the New Jersey Devils general manager throws his hat in the ring.
He has options, too. Obviously, the NHL trade route. However, the Devils have also been linked to a free agent forward.
Elsewhere, the details in last night’s trade, Taylor Hall gets real candid about his trade from Chicago, and trade bait wants to stay in San Jose.

Chicago Hockey Now: Taylor Hall knew his time with the Chicago Blackhawks was coming to an end. His role diminished, and as a result, so did his play. In fact, he admitted he was, “happy to be traded.”
