Well, the New Jersey Devils (33-23-6) are going to look a little different when they face the Dallas Stars (39-19-2) on Tuesday night. The Devils are closing out their five-game road trip without their superstar, Jack Hughes, after he suffered a shoulder injury against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The 2025 NHL Trade Deadline is just days away. Perhaps we’ll learn more about Hughes’ status later today. However, whatever the outcome is, general manager Tom Fitzgerald‘s plans could certainly alter as a result.

Let’s see how they overcome the Stars, who already gave New Jersey trouble just over a week ago.

—The Devils and Dallas conclude their 2024-25 regular-season series (0-1-0).

—Jack Hughes netted New Jersey’s two goals in the first meeting against Dallas on Feb. 22, at Prudential Center. Dougie Hamilton and Jesper Bratt collected assists on J. Hughes’ two goals in the contest.
