NJHN Daily: Ex-Devils Impact on Sharks; Big Week Ahead; Rantanen Booed in Return
Head coach Sheldon Keefe was not pleased with his teams’ effort against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, a team on the outside looking in. The poorly defended tilt came off the back of some heavy momentum where the Devils played solid hockey with clean structure that curated a three-game win-streak.
This is a big week, however. They play the Columbus Blue Jackets again tonight, and then the Ottawa Senators over the weekend, with the Calgary Flames sandwiched in between. This past Saturday’s effort won’t fly, especially against the Jackets and Senators.
We’ll see what team shows up this week.

Sportsnet: Maybe we should have seen this one coming. Mikko Rantanen’s departure from the Colorado Avalanche was messy. We learned he didn’t want it. It was strange that it happened in the first place. Returning to his old barn, Ball Arena, the Finnish star was cheered, but also booed.
