NJHN Daily: Goaltending Prevails; Devils Stars; GM Meetings Day One

For 40 minutes last night, the New Jersey Devils played detail oriented hockey. It was enough to give them a 2-0 lead going into the third period, and in the final frame, Jake Allen played hero. It as quite the impressive performance from the 34-year-old goaltender. It’s time to start talking about offering him a contract extension.



Elsewhere, are the Isles a threat to the Devils? A pair of ex-Devils putting Colorado over the hump? And, day one of NHL GM Meetings.

More NJHN: Jesper Bratt picked up another goal last night. He was already named one of the NHLs stars of the week, and combined with Luke Hughes as the league’s top duo.
