The floundering New Jersey Devils (37-28-7) start their first of a three-game road trip in the Windy City to face the Chicago Blackhawks (21-41-9).



New Jersey is looking to break a three-game skid that’s presented flaws in their system. Chicago won their last tilt, but are 2-6-2 in their last 10 games and are in the race for dead last in the NHL.

What to Know vs. Blackhawks

—The Devils and Chicago conclude their 2024-25 regular-season series (1-0-0).

— The last time out: The Devils earned a 4-1 victory at the Rock, after New Jersey scored four unanswered goals trailing 1-0 in the third period. Dawson Mercer, Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier and Timo Meier all found the back of the net for New Jersey. Goaltender Jacob Markstrom recorded 16 saves on 17 shots. The contest marked the second win of a three-game winning streak for New Jersey.
