With heavy hitters such as Scott Stevens as part of the New Jersey Devils franchise history, it’s hard to believe the single season hits record was just broken.



However, that is, in fact, the case.

There’s little doubt Paul Cotter has a ton of skill. However, putting it all together in game action isn’t always seamless.

What’s most natural for Cotter is using the body. The 25-year-old forward has repeatedly stated he doesn’t think it’s difficult to finish a check.

Well, in his first season in New Jersey, he’s already the all-time single season franchise leader with 232 hits, and counting.
