NJHN Daily: Devils Gritsyuk Says Goodbye; NYR Laviolette Delivers Shocking Comment

So, it looks like the original report I made back in March remains intact. Arseni Gritsyuk is going to make his decision on joining the New Jersey Devils in June. However, it looks like we may be one step closer to that decision as of Tuesday morning. More on that below.
In the links, some praise for Daniel Sprong, Peter Laviolette’s shocking comment, and the Cats are banged up, but it’s OK.
Let’s do that hockey.
Devils News
New Jersey Hockey Now: Arseni Gritsyuk and SKA St. Petersburg have been eliminated from the KHL playoffs. Now available, will he come to the NHL and play for the Devils?
Well, it doesn’t look like he will sign this month. It’s likely not coming next month, either. Gritsyuk is going to make his decision on the Devils in June, per my previous report. However, it does look like we’re one step in the right direction, as Gritsyuk took to social media and said goodbye to his KHL club. Are the Devils his next stop?

NY Post: Devils fans are certainly glad to see it, but it certainly is a puzzling situation. The 2023-24 President’s Trophy winners, the New York Rangers, are on the brink of elimination from the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The most anticipated question that everyone’s asking is, how did they get here?
Well, for starters, Peter Laviolette appears to be at a loss completely with this shocking statement:
Does Laviolette have a message for the team at this stage?
"I don’t have a message right now. I don’t go into the locker room after the game."#NYR

Boston Hockey Now: Perhaps this isn’t a good thing, but David Pastrnak stopped one of the worst seasons in the Boston Bruins‘ last 20 years from being worse. Here’s how.
Florida Hockey Now: The list of injured Florida Panthers players is growing in the last month of the regular season and on the cusp of the postseason. George Richards explains why it’s actually a good thing.
