New Jersey Devils
NJHN Daily: Huge Devils News; Hurricanes Big Boost; Canucks Detest Flyers Rumor

If last night’s loss felt like a downer, New Jersey Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe did his best to bring everyone’s spirits back up.
First, he did so by explaining he didn’t mind the Devils’ effort.
Hmm, perhaps some are shaking their head at the idea. We’ll have more on that later.
However, it was the big nugget he divulged about Dougie Hamilton that saw everyone’s ears perch. More on that in the links.
Elsewhere, Carolina gets a big boost, too. Gabriel Landeskog back in action, and Vancouver is big mad at the rumor in Philly.
Let’s do that hockey.
Devils News
New Jersey Hockey Now: The Devils’ head coach unearthed some really positive news after Friday’s loss. New Jersey expects injured defenseman Dougie Hamilton to be available against the Carolina Hurricanes in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
More NJHN: The Hurricanes are getting their own blueline reinforcements for the postseason, too. They’ve reeled in Russian KHL phenom, Alexander Nikishin, who signed his entry-level contract on Friday morning.

Philly Hockey Now: Before the Vancouver Canucks’ season could even end, there are rumors flying about that Rick Tocchet could fill the coaching vacancy for the Philadelphia Flyers. Well, the Canucks certainly made it known they were NOT happy with the rumors.
Colorado Hockey Now: For the first time in a long time, Gabriel Landeskog made his in-game return to professional hockey. He played for the Colorado Eagles on a conditioning stint in the American Hockey League, pointing to his potential return to the Colorado Avalanche after nearly three years.
In fact, many of Landeskog’s teammates were in attendance to support their captain, such as Nathan Mackinnon and Cale Makar.
