The disappointment between last season’s exit interview with Tom Fitzgerald was different than this seasons. The New Jersey Devils finished outside the playoffs looking in. Therefore, the Devils GM explained there would be changes. However, despite the rocky road, there was progress when they got back into the postseason. According to Fitzgerald, it still wasn’t good enough, and he was more focused on changes as opposed to doubling down confidence in his roster.
