The NHL trade chatter grows more and more each and every day. The Stanley Cup Final is entering the back end stages of the series, and the official offseason is upon us. As a result, teams are more active, thus, the New York Rangers nearing a deal that will shake up the core. It makes you wonder what New Jersey Devils GM Tom Fitzgerald has up his sleeve.

Perhaps he was looking to Vegas who might be in need of some cap relief. More on that in the links.

Elsewhere, as the Chris Kreider decision looms, is Mika Zibanejad next? Speaking of Vegas, what’s going on with their messy situation? And could there be a shake-up on, Long Island, too?

Let’s do that hockey.

Devils Trade Rumors & News

New Jersey Hockey Now: There was a lot of chatter that William Karlsson could be available if Vegas is going to reel in yet another big fish in free agency. NHL Trade Talk, News, & National Hockey Now

NY Post: It seems like the New York Rangers trade with the Anaheim Ducks for Chris Kreider is agreed to. All that’s holding up the transaction becoming official is Kreider waiving his no-trade clause. The Rangers await his decision, and if he agrees to it, will Kreider’s close friend, Mika Zibanejad, waive his as well?

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: We’ve heard whispers about a Pittsburgh Penguins sale for some time, but now it’s been revealed that their most legendary player, Mario Lemieux, could be involved in the purchase of the franchise. But wait, why was Jaromir Jagr in town?

San Jose Hockey Now: There are a number of avenues and players that the San Jose Sharks can look into this summer in order to improve. That includes potentially trading for one New York Rangers defenseman.

NYI Hockey Now: With new management, what does the roster tier list look like these days for the New York Islanders? Well, you might be surprised to see that Alexander Romanov could be a trade chip.

The Athletic($): Speaking of the Islanders, here’s what Pierre LeBrun is hearing on GM Mathieu Darche potentially trading star players, Mathew Barzal and Bo Horvat, off of Long Island.

Vegas Hockey Now: There’s a ton of question about the Vegas Golden Knights right now. There are murmurs that Alex Pietrangelo won’t be healthy to start next season. It could potentially be long-term. Is that Mitch Marner’s music? But wait, if Pietrangelo isn’t healthy, then are they really trading Nic Hague? Hannah Kirkell tries to make sense of it all.
