NHL Trade Talk, News, & National Hockey Now
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Erik Karlsson is once again on the NHL trade block. Rumors swirl that the Pittsburgh Penguins would like to move the defenseman. So, what can GM Kyle Dubas get in return for the Swiss veteran?
Boston Hockey Now: Perhaps this is a Devils trade target if the two sides can’t come to an agreement. It appears the Boston Bruins and Morgan Geekie are far apart in contract negotiations.
Colorado Hockey Now: Speaking of Devils targets, what about in free agency? Jonathan Drouin is reportedly unlikely to return to the Colorado Avalanche next season. New Jersey is looking for depth scoring, after all.
NYI Hockey Now: Well, one of these NHL trade targets is already outdated. However, the other three make perfect sense for the New York Islanders to pursue. Here are four (three, really) Islanders trade targets that new GM Mathieu Darche could pursue.
Vegas Hockey Now: Before they go to the open market and hunt for the big fish per usual, the Vegas Golden Knights took care of a bit of house cleaning to set themselves up for next season. Both Reilly Smith and Brandon Saad have inked extensions.
The Athletic ($): Well, there goes that idea. J.J. Peterka has been traded to the Utah Mammoth.
ESPN: This one was expected, but the actual deal came as a surprise. Evander Kane was traded by the Edmonton Oilers yesterday to his hometown Vancouver Canucks.
