New Jersey Devils
NJHN Daily: Different Devils; Rangers Scoring Woes Remain; Florida Not Panicked
It’s been fun to see the New Jersey Devils embrace their new guys, such as Connor Brown, Arseny Gritsyuk, and Luke Glendening. This Devils team certainly feels different. The 2022-23 season in New Jersey was my first, and I’m starting to get those vibes again. It’s different in the sense that it’s a MUCH more mature group. But, the results are feeling similar. It’s the result of solidifying the forward depth this summer.
In the links, Connor Brown is already a favorite in the locker room, and is doing well on the ice with some advice from Leon Draisaitl.
Elsewhere, the scoring woes remain on Broadway, Pittsburgh’s red flags, and why there’s no panic in Florida.
Let’s do that hockey.

I found this tweet from Arthur Staple interesting. The New York Rangers scored four goals on Saturday. It was an offensive performance they hadn’t had this season. Yet, he explains that two of the allowed goals by the Montreal Canadiens were low-danger. In other words, those are unlikely to happen again in the same situation.
Thus, the Rangers’ scoring issues are very much still present. It’s worth noting, even if it’s still just over two weeks into the season.
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: The Pittsburgh Penguins have actually started the 2025-26 season a lot better than some predicted. However, here are three red flags they’re showing, according to Dan Kingerski.
Boston Hockey Now: The Boston Bruins, however, are pretty much what most people thought they were going to be. Middling. They’re having scoring troubles, but, they do have some options to contribute toward a solution.
Florida Hockey Now: The Florida Panthers have lost four straight hockey games. The Devils were a contributor to the L column. However, George Richards explains why there’s no reason for panic.
NHL.com: Brad Marchand crashed out against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, and destroyed Rasmus Dahlin’s helmet. As a result, he’s been fined by the NHLs Department of Player Safety.
