Last Game
Head coach Lindy Ruff didn’t want New Jersey to change anything about the way they played against the Tampa Bay Lightning when they faced the Florida Panthers. And they didn’t. The main difference? Nico Daws came up big for New Jersey. The Devils routed the Panthers to a 4-1 victory on the sticks of Alexander Holtz, Jesper Bratt, Erik Haula, and John Marino. Daws stood strong securing the victory making 36 saves on 37 shots.
Player to Watch
Michael McLeod’s point streak may have ended in Tampa Bay, however, the 25-year-old center owns five points (three goals, two assists) in his last five games. His shooting percentage over the last five games is also 33.3%, which is tied with N. Hischier for the highest shooting percentage on New Jersey since Jan. 3. McLeod is also dominating in the faceoff dot winning 66.4% of draws this season.
