There was plenty of goaltending news to digest in relation to the New Jersey Devils on Thursday.
As trade speculation continues to swirl, Nashville goaltender Juuse Saros has been connected to New Jersey. How much would it cost the Devils to acquire him?
Spoiler alert — a lot.
The Stadium Series at MetLife is set to get underway Saturday night. Head coach Lindy Ruff confirms Vitek Vanecek’s status for the outdoor game as the goaltender is dealing with a lower-body injury. Plus, a Devils goaltending prospect is enjoying a breakout season with the Utica Comets. New Jersey inked him to a new deal on Thursday.
Elsewhere, Pittsburgh loses a big player to injury which potentially derails their trade deadline plans. A pair of Russian Philly prospects speak out on Russia’s ban at international play. And, drama between Vancouver and Detroit see’s Waleman’s “griddy” work against him.
