The Nashville Predators held the door open for the New Jersey Devils to walk through last night.

After Nashville defeated the Detroit Red Wings 1-0 in regulation, it gave the Devils an opportunity to climb the playoff standings and sit four points back rather than six.

They’ll play again tonight on Long Island. It’s not over until it’s over, but man, this certainly feels over.

In the links, the takeaways from last night’s tilt, analyzing how the Devils were routed to a loss.

Elsewhere, Brad Marchand has been sitting on 399 career goals for a little bit now, Moritz Seider and Filip Forsberg chuck knucks, and is Andrew Brunette entering the Jack Adams conversation?

Let’s do that hockey.
