Devils Daily: Trade Speculation Arises

Published

on

New Jersey Devils

Vitek Vanecek was feeling “physically unwell” on Sunday and was held out of the New Jersey Devils’ tilt with the Anaheim Ducks. New Jersey recalled a goaltender from the Utica Comets to back up Akira Schmid. The timing sure was interesting as John Gibson started Sunday night’s contest, however, didn’t come out for the third period with an “illness.” Naturally, that sprung plenty of trade speculation as we know general manager Tom Fitzgerald is doing his due diligence on the Devils goaltender.

Elsewhere, what’s the latest on the mid-season PTO in Pittsburgh? Montreal’s potential goaltending trade, and could Nashville be moving multiple defensemen?

Let’s do that hockey.
