Devils Daily: Cap Relief, Jack Hughes Back on the Ice

Published

New Jersey Devils

Yesterday’s news conference in London, Ontario in relation to the 2018 Hockey Canada sexual assault allegations was heavy. We learned all five players involved have been charged, and an extra charge was laid on a New Jersey Devils player.

As a result of the ongoing case, the Devils, as well as the other affected teams, are receiving cap relief for the players involved.

Back in New Jersey, the Devils’ star forward returns to practice. It’s certainly a step in the right direction for a battered and bruised Devils club.

Elsewhere, it feels like we always end up back in this situation, but Jake DeBrusk wants to extend his stay in Boston. Will Detroit dangle one of their top forward prospects? And one of Buffalo’s top defensemen is shut down for the season.

Let’s do that hockey.

Devils News

New Jersey Hockey Now: During a conference with the London, Ontario Police on Monday, information was provided of an additional charge Devils forward Michael McLeod is facing.

More NJHN: The Devils will receive salary cap relief for the two players involved in the 2018 Hockey Canada sexual assault allegations. Here’s what it means.

Even More: Jack Hughes is back. He hit the ice for practice on Monday in a no-contact sweater.
