The New Jersey Devils begin a new era today. They’ll introduce an interm head coach, the media will speak with GM Tom Fitzgerald, and then they’ll face the Florida Panthers later this evening.

New Jersey Hockey Now: The Devils relieved Lindy Ruff of his head coaching duties on Monday evening. They’ve named Travis Green as interim head coach. Hear from GM Tom Fitzgerald on the difficult decision.

Calgary Hockey Now: Another wrinkle in the Devils-Flames Jacob Markstrom saga. According to Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli, the Devils and Flames had a deal in principle sorted, until Calgary ownership nixed the deal.
