New Jersey Devils

There was quite a flurry of trades yesterday, although none yet by the New Jersey Devils.

First, Tyler Toffoli wasn’t being shopped. Now, GM Tom Fitzgerald may still not be shopping him necessarily, however, a deal could come to fruition.

Whether Toffoli is traded or not, the Devils have expressed interest in a forward from the Arizona Coyotes.

Elsewhere, what’s the holdup on Jake Guentzel? Is the time now for Boston to deal Linus Ullmark? And a look at all of the events that took place on the trade market yesterday.

Let’s do that hockey.

Devils News

New Jersey Hockey Now: Yesterday brought about plenty of action on the NHL trade market. Tyler Toffoli’s name was thrown out there as “in play” despite GM Tom Fitzgerald denying he’s shopping the Devils’ leading goal scorer.

More NJHN: the Devils could be primed to both buy and sell at the NHL Trade Deadline. They’re reportedly interested in Arizona Coyotes forward Jason Zucker.

Even More: The Philadelphia Flyers, a division rival to the Devils, sold their top defenseman on Wednesday. A change on Philly’s blue line can certainly benefit the Devils in their chase for playoff position.

Vegas Golden Knights: You didn’t think the NHL Trade Deadline was going to come and go without the Vegas Golden Knights taking a big swing, did you? Noah Hanifin is now in gold, here’s the full scouting report on Vegas’ newest defenseman.

Philly Hockey Now: Speaking of Hanifin, the Philadelphia Flyers helped facilitate the deal between the Calgary Flames and Vegas that sent the defenseman to the Golden Knights.

Calgary Hockey Now: The NHL announced today that Flames winger Martin Pospisil has been suspended three games after throwing a dangerous hit from behind on Seattle Kraken defenceman Vince Dunn on Monday night.
