Devils Daily: Building Confidence; Subban Hyping Up Predators
Fans of the New Jersey Devils certainly had reason to smile when they woke up on Friday morning.
Thursday night’s victory against the Winnipeg Jets was certainly an impressive one. On multiple occasions, interim head coach Travis Green has cited confidence as a main reason for the Devils’ improved play. That certainly played a factor in last night’s dominant effort against a formidable opponent.
Unfortunately for New Jersey, the Detroit Red Wings were also victorious, and although the Philadelphia Flyers lost, they collected a point in overtime. It’s a step forward, albeit, the smallest possible step forward. The Devils hope to make it three in a row tomorrow night against an inferior Ottawa Senators club.
In the links, the takeaways from last night’s game against the Jets.
Elsewhere, former Devils associate coach Andrew Brunette reflects on heartbreak in Florida, Ottawa could steal one of Boston’s assistant coaches, and more from Elliotte Friedman on the GM meetings and the Arizona arena situation.
Let’s do that hockey.
