Devils Daily: Nail in the Coffin; Massive Goaltender Arrives in Philly

New Jersey Devils

The New Jersey Devils will practice at noon today following their disappointing loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night.

As a result of the loss, the Devils’ odds to make the playoffs dropped to 7.5%, according to MoneyPuck.

The hill didn’t have to be this steep. Yet, the Philadelphia Flyers’ odds sit at 84.9%, the Washington Capitals at 71%, the Detroit Red Wings at 17.1%, and the New York Islanders at 13.5%.

At least the Devils’ odds to make the playoffs are larger than their chances at the No.1 overall pick (3%) in the 2024 NHL Draft.

In the links, the takeaways from last nights squandered opportunity against the Buffalo Sabres.

Elsewhere, Philly gets their massive Russian goaltender back, CSKA Moscow trying to poach a Colorado goaltender, and Nashville’s captain makes history.

Let’s do that hockey.
